Jonathan Lloyd (priest)

Jonathan Lloyd (born circa 1948) is a Welsh Anglican priest, best known for his long tenure as Dean of St Asaph. He served as Dean from 1999 until his retirement in 2018.

Lloyd was educated at St David's College, Lampeter, and ordained in 1974. Prior to his appointment as Dean, he served in several parishes within the Diocese of St Asaph, including roles in Wrexham, Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, and Llanarmon-yn-Iâl.

As Dean of St Asaph, Lloyd played a significant role in the life of the cathedral and the wider community. He oversaw various restoration projects and initiatives, including efforts to promote the cathedral as a center for pilgrimage and music. He also served as an ex-officio member of the governing body of the Church in Wales.

Following his retirement, Lloyd continued to be involved in church activities and resided in the St Asaph area. His contributions to the Diocese of St Asaph were recognized during his years of service.
