John Warner (comics)

John Warner is a comic book writer and editor who worked primarily during the Bronze Age of Comics. He is best known for his contributions to Marvel Comics and DC Comics, particularly in the horror and anthology genres.

Warner began his career at Marvel, where he worked as an editor on titles such as Chamber of Chills and Tomb of Terror, contributing to the resurgence of horror comics in the early 1970s. He also wrote stories for various Marvel anthology titles.

Later, Warner moved to DC Comics, where he continued to work on anthology series such as House of Secrets, House of Mystery, and Weird War Tales. He is credited with developing and shaping the character of Doctor Thirteen (Doctor Terrance Thirteen) for DC, writing many of his early appearances and establishing the character's skeptical approach to the supernatural.
