John Pennington (American football)

John Pennington (born January 29, 1986) is a former American football placekicker. He played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he was a Lou Groza Award finalist in 2008.

Pennington was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Jets in 2009. He was waived by the Jets before the start of the regular season. He was later signed to the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins.

Pennington also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
