John Lear

John Lear (born 1942, died January 10, 2020) was an American conspiracy theorist and pilot. He was the son of William Lear, the founder of the Lear Jet Corporation. Lear claimed to have flown over 160 different types of aircraft and held several Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificates.

Lear became known for his involvement in numerous conspiracy theories, most notably related to extraterrestrial life, the secret government organization Majestic 12 (MJ-12), and purported government cover-ups of UFO sightings. He asserted the existence of a lunar base, called "Luna," and claimed that humans travel to Mars regularly. He also promoted theories about alien influence on human society and the presence of alien bases on Earth.

Lear's claims were often controversial and widely dismissed by the scientific community and government officials. He frequently appeared on radio shows and at UFO conventions, where he discussed his theories and presented his alleged evidence. Despite the lack of verifiable evidence, his theories gained a following among some UFO enthusiasts and conspiracy theorists.
