John Dennis (bishop)

John Dennis (died 20 July 1861) was a Roman Catholic bishop who served in Trinidad.

Dennis was born in Ireland. He was appointed as the Vicar Apostolic of Trinidad on 28 August 1834. On 16 February 1836, he was appointed as the Titular Bishop of Sebaste in Cilicia. He served as Vicar Apostolic, later Bishop, of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago from 1834 until his death in 1861. He oversaw the construction of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Port of Spain.
