Jay Harris (sportscaster)

Jay Harris is an American sportscaster, best known for his work at ESPN. He is a studio anchor, primarily for SportsCenter, ESPN's flagship sports news program.

Harris joined ESPN in February 2003. Prior to ESPN, he worked as a sports anchor and reporter at WPGH-TV (Fox) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also held positions at WTAE-TV (ABC) in Pittsburgh and at KDKA-TV (CBS), also in Pittsburgh. Harris began his broadcasting career at WPXI-TV (NBC), again in Pittsburgh. This extensive experience in the Pittsburgh media market provided a strong foundation for his national career.

At ESPN, Harris has anchored various editions of SportsCenter, covering a wide range of sports and events. He is known for his professional and engaging delivery, as well as his ability to connect with viewers. He also contributes to other ESPN platforms.

Harris is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he studied broadcast journalism. He is actively involved in community outreach programs and is known for his commitment to mentoring aspiring journalists.
