Jahcoozi
Jahcoozi (pronounced Ya-KOO-zee) was a Berlin-based electronic music group active primarily in the late 2000s and early 2010s. The group was known for its eclectic sound, blending elements of dubstep, grime, electro, reggae, and world music influences.
The core members of Jahcoozi were Israeli-born singer Sasha Perera, producer Robot Koch, and Oren Gerlitz. Their music often featured heavy basslines, intricate rhythms, and Sasha Perera's distinctive vocals, which ranged from melodic singing to rap-influenced phrasing.
Jahcoozi released several albums and EPs on labels such as Shitkatapult and Project Mooncircle. Their discography includes critically acclaimed albums like "Pure Breed Mongrel" (2005) and "Barely Legal" (2009).
The group toured extensively, performing at festivals and venues worldwide. While they were most active in the late 2000s and early 2010s, individual members have continued to pursue their own musical projects.
