Józef Grzesiak (boxer)

Józef Grzesiak (January 18, 1941 – May 30, 2020) was a Polish boxer who competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. He won the bronze medal in the light middleweight division (71 kg).

Grzesiak was born in Popowice, Poland. He represented Poland in numerous international boxing competitions, including the European Championships. He was known for his aggressive fighting style and strong punching power.

Beyond his Olympic medal, Grzesiak also achieved significant success at the national level, winning multiple Polish championships. After his boxing career, he worked as a coach, helping to develop young boxing talent in Poland. He remained involved in the sport throughout his life. His contributions to Polish boxing were widely recognized and he is remembered as a prominent figure in the country's sporting history.
