Interoute

Interoute (no longer operating under this name) was a telecommunications company that operated a pan-European network. Its infrastructure provided connectivity, communications, and computing services to businesses and service providers.

Interoute's network was known for its extensive fiber optic infrastructure, enabling high-bandwidth connectivity across Europe and beyond. The company offered a range of services, including:

• Network Services: Such as dedicated bandwidth, Ethernet, and IP transit.
• Communications Services: Including voice and video conferencing solutions.
• Cloud Services: Offering infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings.

Interoute focused on serving multinational corporations, telecommunications operators, and content delivery networks (CDNs). They provided services that supported the delivery of digital content, cloud computing, and other bandwidth-intensive applications.

In 2018, Interoute was acquired by GTT Communications. Following the acquisition, the Interoute brand was phased out and its operations were integrated into GTT's global network. In 2021, GTT sold its infrastructure division to I Squared Capital, effectively ending the operational existence of the Interoute network under its original identity, although its infrastructure continues to be used.
