IK Start

IK Start, formally known as Idrettsklubben Start, is a Norwegian football club based in Kristiansand. The club was founded on September 19, 1905. Start's home ground is Sparebanken Sør Arena.

Historically, IK Start has been one of the more successful football clubs in Norway, winning the Norwegian top league, Eliteserien, twice, in 1978 and 1980. They have also reached the Norwegian Cup final on one occasion, in 1957, where they lost to FK Fredrikstad.

The club's colors are yellow and black. IK Start has experienced periods of fluctuating performance, moving between Eliteserien and the second tier, OBOS-ligaen. The club aims to consistently compete in the top division and establish itself as a leading team in Norwegian football.
