Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank (Italy)

Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank (Italy) was the Italian subsidiary of the Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International AG, an Austrian banking group that was nationalized in 2009. Operating primarily in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy, Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank (Italy) offered a range of banking services to retail and corporate clients. Its activities were focused on lending, deposit taking, and investment services.

Following the nationalization of its parent company in Austria, Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank (Italy) underwent significant restructuring. This restructuring was part of a broader effort to unwind the Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International group and sell off its various subsidiaries. The Italian branch was eventually subject to resolution and liquidation proceedings, with its assets and liabilities being managed in accordance with Italian banking regulations and European Union directives on bank resolution. The bank is no longer operational.
