Hugh Thornton (gridiron football)
Hugh Thornton (born June 26, 1990) is a former American football guard. He played college football at the University of Tennessee and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Early life and college career
Thornton played high school football at Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida. He was a highly-touted recruit and committed to the University of Tennessee. During his college career, he started multiple games and contributed significantly to the Volunteers' offensive line.
Professional career
The Indianapolis Colts selected Thornton in the third round (77th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent several seasons with the Colts, competing for a starting position.
