BMC Vuran

The BMC Vuran is a Turkish-made Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle designed and manufactured by BMC Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. It is designed to provide a high level of protection against ballistic threats, mines, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The Vuran is intended for use in a variety of roles, including troop transport, reconnaissance, and command and control.

The Vuran typically features a V-shaped hull to deflect blasts upwards and away from the occupants, along with armored glass, blast-resistant seating, and a remote weapon station (RWS). It is typically equipped with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission, providing good mobility in varied terrain. Different configurations and payloads can be mounted on the vehicle, depending on the specific operational requirements.

The vehicle has been adopted by the Turkish Armed Forces and other international customers. Its design prioritizes crew survivability in high-threat environments.
