High Speed (video game)

High Speed is a pinball-themed action video game released by Rare in 1991 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is based on the pinball machine of the same name designed by Steve Ritchie and released by Williams Electronics in 1986.

The game adapts the core gameplay of pinball into a video game format. Players control a flipper to launch a ball and score points by hitting various targets and features on the playfield. The playfield design and many of the visual elements are inspired by the physical High Speed pinball machine.

The objective in High Speed is generally to accumulate a high score by skillfully manipulating the ball and completing various challenges represented on the game board.
