He County

He County is a county (县; xiàn) located in the prefecture-level city of Ma'anshan, Anhui province, People's Republic of China. It is situated on the southern bank of the Yangtze River. The county is known for its agricultural production, including rice, wheat, and cotton. He County also has a developing industrial sector, with industries such as machinery manufacturing and building materials. The administrative center of He County is located in the town of Licheng (历阳镇). The area has a rich history, with evidence of human settlement dating back thousands of years. Historically, it was part of the larger Liyang Commandery.
