Hamborn

Hamborn is a borough (Stadtbezirk) of the city of Duisburg, Germany. It is located in the northern part of Duisburg, bordering the cities of Oberhausen and Dinslaken.

Hamborn comprises the districts of Alt-Hamborn, Marxloh, Bruckhausen, Neumühl, and Röttgersbach. Historically, it was a significant center for coal mining and steel production, industries that shaped its development and character.

The borough has a diverse population and offers a range of residential areas, commercial centers, and cultural institutions. The Rhein-Ruhr Zentrum, one of the largest shopping malls in Germany, is partially located within Hamborn (specifically in the Neumühl district).
