Dosse (river)
The Dosse is a river in Brandenburg, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Havel, which it joins near Havelberg in Saxony-Anhalt.
The Dosse's source is located near the town of Wittstock/Dosse in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district. From there, it flows generally southwest through a largely rural landscape. Towns and villages along its course include Wusterhausen/Dosse, Neustadt (Dosse), and Breddin. The river's lower reaches are navigable for smaller boats.
The Dosse valley is characterized by agricultural land, meadows, and occasional patches of forest. The river itself is relatively slow-flowing and meanders through its floodplain. It is a popular area for cycling and hiking.
