HMS Vigilant (1774)

HMS Vigilant was a 64-gun third-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched in 1774. She was built at Woolwich Dockyard to the 1773 Establishment.

Vigilant saw action during the American Revolutionary War. In 1779, she was part of the British fleet involved in the capture of Savannah, Georgia. In 1781, she participated in the Battle of Cape Henry.

Following the end of the American Revolutionary War, Vigilant remained in service but was eventually paid off. She was broken up in 1792.
