HMS Fowey (L15)
HMS Fowey (L15) was a modified Black Swan-class sloop of the Royal Navy. She served during World War II. The Black Swan class were designed as convoy escorts and anti-submarine warfare vessels. Fowey was laid down on 20 July 1942, launched on 25 May 1943, and completed on 10 November 1943. During her service, she participated in various convoy escort duties in the Atlantic and Arctic theaters. She also participated in anti-submarine patrols and engagements. Following the war, she was sold into mercantile service in 1947, renamed Rua, and later renamed again to Maria Angelika.
