Gul Panag
Gul Panag (born Gulkirat Kaur Panag on January 3, 1979) is an Indian actress, voice actress, entrepreneur, and politician. She primarily works in Hindi films, with occasional roles in Punjabi and Malayalam cinema.
Panag began her career as a model, winning the Miss India title in 1999. She represented India at the Miss Universe pageant the same year. She made her Bollywood debut in the 2003 film Dhoop.
Her acting credits include Jurm (2005), Dor (2006), Manorama Six Feet Under (2007), Hello (2008), Straight (2009), Rann (2010), Turning 30!!! (2011), Fatso! (2012), Student of the Year 2 (2019), and Patal Lok (2020), a web series. She has received critical acclaim for her performances, particularly in independent films.
Beyond acting, Panag has been actively involved in social and political issues. She contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections as an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Chandigarh. She is also a licensed pilot and an advocate for various causes, including women's empowerment and environmental protection. She co-founded Mobiefit Technologies, a fitness and well-being startup. She is known for her adventurous spirit and has participated in various rallies and expeditions.
