Giovanni Delfino (bishop of Belluno)

Giovanni Delfino (1529 - 1584) was an Italian Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Belluno from 1576 until his death.

Delfino was born in Venice. His career within the Catholic Church saw him rise through various administrative positions before being appointed Bishop of Belluno on July 4, 1576. During his tenure, he actively participated in the implementation of the decrees of the Council of Trent, focusing on religious instruction, the reform of monastic life, and the improvement of clerical discipline within his diocese. He is known for his efforts to combat heresy and uphold Catholic orthodoxy in the region. Giovanni Delfino died in 1584.
