Gimme Some Truth (box set)

Gimme Some Truth is an eight-disc box set of remastered John Lennon music, released in 2010. The set comprises four thematic discs focusing on different aspects of Lennon's songwriting: "Roots" (early rock and roll influences), "Imagine" (his more peaceful and spiritual songs), "Working Class Hero" (songs about societal issues and the common person), and "Woman" (songs about love and relationships). These four discs were also available individually.

In addition to the thematic compilations, the box set included a two-disc "Stripped Down" set, featuring alternative "naked" versions of some of Lennon's best-known songs, removing production elements added after the initial recording. The eighth disc is a home recording compilation.

The box set aimed to present Lennon's work in a new light, showcasing the breadth of his musical talent and songwriting ability. It was accompanied by a booklet containing liner notes, rare photographs, and essays about Lennon's life and work. The release was part of a larger Lennon reissue campaign undertaken by EMI and Yoko Ono. The title "Gimme Some Truth" is taken from the song of the same name, a protest song from Lennon's Imagine album.
