George Stewart (footballer, born 1883)

George Stewart (born 1883, date of death unknown) was a Scottish professional footballer.

Stewart played as a left back. His professional career began with Abercorn F.C. He then moved south to England to join Tottenham Hotspur in 1907. He made 18 appearances for Tottenham in the Southern League before returning to Scotland.

In 1909, Stewart signed for Rangers F.C. and remained with the club for one season, making a limited number of appearances. After his time at Rangers, his subsequent footballing career is largely undocumented.
