Gakuden Station (Aichi)
Gakuden Station (楽田駅, Gakuden-eki) is a railway station on the Meitetsu Komaki Line in Inuyama, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the private railway operator Meitetsu (Nagoya Railroad).
The station consists of two side platforms serving two tracks. The station building is located on the west side of the tracks and is connected to the platforms by a level crossing. While the station is staffed during certain hours, it relies heavily on automated ticket machines and turnstiles for passenger access.
Gakuden Station opened on April 29, 1931, as Gakuden-yuen Station (楽田遊園駅). It was renamed to its current name in 1944. The area surrounding the station is primarily residential, with some small businesses and agricultural land. It provides local access for residents commuting to Nagoya and other nearby cities. The station is known for its proximity to the Japan Monkey Park, a popular tourist attraction.
