HMS H32

HMS H32 was a British H-class submarine of the Royal Navy, built by Vickers-Armstrongs at Barrow-in-Furness during World War I. Commissioned in 1918, HMS H32 saw limited service due to the war's ending shortly after her completion.

The H-class submarines were designed for coastal patrol and harbor defense. They were relatively small and had a limited range, making them primarily suited for operations in the North Sea and similar waters. They were characterized by a teardrop-shaped hull for improved underwater performance and were armed with torpedoes.

Following the war, HMS H32 remained in service with the Royal Navy, participating in exercises and patrols. Due to budget constraints and the obsolescence of the H-class design, she was eventually decommissioned. HMS H32 was sold for scrap in 1934, marking the end of her operational life. While not involved in significant wartime action, HMS H32 represents a typical submarine design of the late World War I period and illustrates the evolution of submarine warfare in the early 20th century.
