Friendship Highway (China–Nepal)

The Friendship Highway, also known as the China-Nepal Highway (officially China National Highway 318), is a scenic 800-kilometer (500 mi) highway connecting Lhasa, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region of China, with the China–Nepal border at the Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge between Kodari, Nepal and Zhangmu, Tibet.

The highway is a vital trade route between China and Nepal, traversing some of the highest terrain in the world. It is a major artery for both passenger and freight traffic. The highway follows the ancient trade routes, including parts of the old Silk Road, and provides stunning views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest.
