Fowey, Tywardreath and Par (electoral division)
Fowey, Tywardreath and Par is an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom. It elects one member to sit on Cornwall Council.
The division encompasses the towns of Fowey and Par, along with the village of Tywardreath and surrounding rural areas. Geographically, it is located on the south coast of Cornwall, centered around the River Fowey estuary and St Austell Bay.
The area is characterized by its historical maritime connections, active port activity (especially in Fowey), and tourism industry. Economically, fishing, boating, and tourism are significant contributors.
Historically, the area has been part of the ancient Duchy of Cornwall. More recently, it formed part of the Restormel borough before the creation of the unitary Cornwall Council.
The current boundaries of the division may be subject to periodic review by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England. The composition of the division and the political affiliation of its councillor are subject to change based on local elections, which are typically held every four years. Details of past election results can be found on the Cornwall Council website.
