Evan Davies (Calvinistic Methodist minister)

Evan Davies (1802-1869) was a Welsh Calvinistic Methodist minister. Born in Pantycelyn, Carmarthenshire, he received a limited formal education but developed a reputation as a powerful and eloquent preacher. He began preaching in his youth and was ordained in 1834. Davies served as the minister of various chapels throughout Wales, including those in Llanelli, Dowlais, and Tredegar. He was known for his fervent evangelical style and his commitment to the doctrines of Calvinism.
