Eric Baumann (cyclist)

Eric Baumann (born March 21, 1980, in Rostock, Germany) is a former professional cyclist. He primarily competed in road cycling events. He is best known for his sprinting abilities and spent several years competing at the professional level.

Baumann began his professional career in 2003 with the Wiesenhof team. Throughout his career, he rode for various German-based cycling teams. Some of these included T-Mobile Development Team, Sparkasse, and Nutrixxion-Abus.

While he didn't achieve victories at the highest WorldTour level, he had success in smaller races. Baumann consistently placed well in criteriums and smaller stage races throughout his career. Information about his specific race victories is limited, but he was considered a consistent competitor within the German cycling scene.

Baumann retired from professional cycling in the early 2010s. After his retirement, he moved into the tourism sector.
