Ed Morgan (baseball)
Edward "Ed" Morgan (born August 17, 1904, in Cincinnati, Ohio, died September 8, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio) was an American professional baseball player. He played as a shortstop in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cincinnati Reds from 1927 to 1929.
Morgan began his professional baseball career in the minor leagues before joining the Reds. His major league debut occurred on April 12, 1927. Over his three seasons with Cincinnati, he played in 267 games, accumulating a batting average of .249, with 221 hits, 8 home runs, and 83 RBIs. He primarily played shortstop but also saw time at other infield positions.
After his MLB career, Morgan continued to play in the minor leagues.
