Dry (rapper)
Dry, also known as Dryssi, is a French rapper of Congolese origin. He is a member of the Parisian collective Mafia K-1 Fry and is known for his distinctive flow and raw lyrics, often addressing social issues and the realities of life in the banlieues (suburbs) of Paris.
Dry rose to prominence in the early 2000s as part of the Mafia K-1 Fry collective, contributing to their group albums and mixtapes. He launched his solo career with the release of his debut album, Le gout de la verité (The Taste of Truth), in 2008. The album was well-received, showcasing his lyrical abilities and unique perspective.
Following his debut, Dry continued to release albums and mixtapes, collaborating with other prominent figures in French hip-hop. His music often incorporates elements of grime and trap, reflecting the evolving landscape of the genre. He continues to be an active figure in the French rap scene.
