Dolphins (NRL)

The Dolphins are a professional rugby league football club based in Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. They compete in the National Rugby League (NRL), the top-level rugby league competition in Australasia. The club was founded in 1947 and formerly known as the Redcliffe Dolphins, representing the Moreton Bay Region north of Brisbane.

For decades, the Dolphins were a dominant force in the Queensland Cup competition, winning multiple premierships. They gained entry into the NRL as the 17th team in the competition, commencing in the 2023 season. The team's colours are primarily maroon, gold, and white.

The Dolphins' home ground is Moreton Daily Stadium in Redcliffe. The club aims to represent the Moreton Bay region and provide a pathway for local rugby league talent to reach the highest level of the sport. Their inaugural NRL coach was Wayne Bennett, a highly successful and experienced figure in rugby league coaching. The Dolphins' entry into the NRL expanded the competition's footprint and provided a new fanbase with a team to support.
