Deathtrap (video game)

Deathtrap is a tower defense action RPG developed and published by NeocoreGames. It was released on PC (Windows, macOS, Linux) in 2015 and later ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The game is set in the same gothic-noir universe as NeocoreGames' The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing series. Players take on the role of an interdimensional hunter tasked with defending various strongholds from hordes of monsters emerging from the Ink, a mysterious parallel dimension.

Gameplay combines elements of traditional tower defense with action RPG combat. Players can choose from multiple character classes, each with unique skills and abilities. They build, upgrade, and utilize various traps to slow down, damage, and eliminate enemies before they reach a central objective. The game features a single-player campaign, cooperative multiplayer modes, and player-versus-player (PVP) challenges. Resources earned during gameplay are used to improve character stats, unlock new traps, and enhance existing ones. The game also includes a crafting system allowing players to create powerful items.
