Dave Thomas (baseball)

David Allen Thomas (born November 13, 1949, in El Paso, Texas) is a former professional baseball player. He was an outfielder in Major League Baseball from 1971 to 1979.

Thomas played for the Texas Rangers (1971-1972), California Angels (1973-1974), Cleveland Indians (1974-1976), and Oakland Athletics (1977-1979). He was primarily a right-handed hitter and threw right-handed. He was known for his speed and defensive abilities in the outfield. While he never became a star player, he was a valuable role player and contributed to several teams during his career. His career statistics include a .232 batting average, 13 home runs, and 127 RBIs in 678 games played.
