Daniel Roth is a Swiss luxury watch brand known for its distinctive elliptical case design and high-end complications. Founded in 1989 by master watchmaker Daniel Roth, the brand quickly gained recognition for its traditional craftsmanship, elegant aesthetics, and innovative movements.

Roth himself had a long and distinguished career in watchmaking prior to establishing his own brand. He worked for Breguet for 14 years, playing a key role in its revival during the 1970s and 1980s. His experience at Breguet heavily influenced his design philosophy, emphasizing classical elements and meticulous finishing.

The signature double-ellipse case, often referred to as the "Roth" case, is a defining characteristic of Daniel Roth watches. This design, with its curved lines and integrated lugs, sets the brand apart from more conventional round or rectangular timepieces.

Daniel Roth watches are typically equipped with highly complex movements, including tourbillons, perpetual calendars, and chronographs. In 2000, Daniel Roth sold his brand to Singapore-based Hour Glass, and subsequently, it became part of the Bulgari Group. Under Bulgari's ownership, the Daniel Roth collection underwent some modifications, although the core design principles and commitment to high-end watchmaking remained. In 2023, Bulgari announced that Daniel Roth would be relaunched with a focus on preserving its original DNA.
