Christopher Turnor (MP)

Christopher Turnor (1809 – 1886) was a British Member of Parliament for South Lincolnshire. He was a Conservative politician, the eldest son of Edmund Turnor of Panton Hall, Lincolnshire, and inherited the family estates upon his father's death.

Turnor was first elected to Parliament in 1841 and served until 1847. He was again elected in 1852, representing South Lincolnshire until 1868. His parliamentary activity included involvement in agricultural debates and matters concerning local infrastructure.

Beyond his political career, Turnor was a prominent landowner in Lincolnshire. He was known for his contributions to agriculture and the improvement of his estates. He married Louisa Tollemache, daughter of Lord Huntingtower, and they had several children.
