Chris Lee (ice hockey)
Chris Lee (born March 3, 1980) is a Canadian-Belarusian professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for Kunlun Red Star in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He is known for his offensive capabilities from the blue line.
Lee began his professional career in North America, playing in the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL. He then transitioned to Europe, playing in Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) for several seasons before joining the KHL in 2011.
Throughout his KHL career, Lee has played for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, where he won the Gagarin Cup in 2014 and 2016. He has also represented Belarus internationally, participating in multiple World Championships and the 2018 Winter Olympics. His eligibility to represent Belarus stems from residency requirements and playing in the country's league.
Lee is characterized by his skating ability, puck-handling skills, and accurate shooting from the point. He is often utilized on the power play and contributes significantly to his team's offensive output.
