Carpano (cycling team)
Carpano was an Italian professional cycling team that existed from 1963 to 1966. Primarily sponsored by the vermouth brand Carpano, the team achieved notable success in several major races.
The team's most significant victories included overall wins in the Giro d'Italia in 1965 with Vittorio Adorni and in the Tour de Suisse in 1963 with Giuseppe Fezzardi. They also secured stage wins in the Giro d'Italia and other prestigious races.
Key riders for the Carpano team included Vittorio Adorni, Michele Dancelli, Franco Balmamion, and Guido Carlesi. The team was managed by former professional cyclist Learco Guerra for a significant portion of its existence. After the 1966 season, the team ceased operations.
