Carnières is a village and former municipality in the province of Hainaut, Wallonia, Belgium. It is now part of the municipality of Morlanwelz.

The village is located south of Morlanwelz proper and borders the municipality of Binche. Its history is intertwined with that of the region, marked by agricultural activity and industrial development, particularly coal mining.

Carnières became part of the municipality of Morlanwelz during the fusion of the Belgian municipalities in 1977.

Historically, Carnières was known for its agricultural land and, later, for its participation in the coal mining industry that characterized the Borinage region of Wallonia. This industrial past has left its mark on the landscape and the local culture.

Important landmarks include the Saint-Lambert Church, showcasing local religious architecture, and remnants of the former mining infrastructure, serving as reminders of the area's industrial heritage.

The inhabitants of Carnières are called Carnièrois (masculine) and Carnièroise (feminine).
