Cacique (rum)

Cacique is a Venezuelan rum brand, produced by Diageo. It is a blend of several rums aged up to two years. Cacique is one of the top-selling rums in Venezuela and is also distributed internationally.

The name "Cacique" refers to a tribal chieftain of indigenous people of the Caribbean and South America, reflecting the rum's Venezuelan heritage. The brand's imagery often incorporates elements of indigenous culture.

Cacique rum is available in several expressions, including Cacique 500, Cacique Leyenda, and Cacique Añejo. These expressions vary in aging and flavor profile. Cacique 500 is the flagship product, typically known for its smooth, balanced taste, suitable for mixing or drinking neat. Cacique Leyenda represents a more premium offering with a longer aging process, resulting in a more complex and refined flavor. Cacique Añejo is another aged variant.

The rum is produced using continuous distillation.
