Bryant Field (stadium)

Bryant Field is a former athletic stadium located in Annapolis, Maryland. It served as the home field for the Navy Midshipmen football team from 1893 until 1924. Named in honor of Admiral Samuel "Poo" Bryant, a prominent figure in the Naval Academy's athletic program and a former football coach, Bryant Field was a significant landmark for early Navy football. Its capacity was relatively small compared to modern stadiums, but it held a special place in the history of the program. Prior to the construction of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Bryant Field provided the venue for many important intercollegiate football contests, helping to establish Navy's football legacy. After its decommission, the site was redeveloped for other purposes within the Naval Academy grounds.
