Bramgau
The Bramgau is a historic region located in Lower Saxony, Germany. It lies between the Wiehengebirge hills to the south and the Hase river to the north. Historically, the Bramgau was a county (Grafschaft) within the Duchy of Saxony. Over time, the territory was fragmented and its constituent parts came under the control of different noble families and ecclesiastical institutions, including the Bishopric of Osnabrück. The area is primarily agricultural, and the name "Bramgau" is still used informally to refer to the general geographic region.
