Bob Nash (basketball)
Bob Nash (born August 24, 1950) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'8" forward, he played eight seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Nash played college basketball at the University of Hawaii, where he was a star player and led the Rainbow Warriors to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1972. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the 9th overall pick in the 1972 NBA draft.
During his NBA career, Nash played for the Pistons (1972-1976), Kansas City Kings (1976-1978), and Denver Nuggets (1978-1980). His best season was with the Kings in 1977-78, where he averaged 11.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
After his playing career, Nash worked as a coach and administrator. He served as an assistant coach for the University of Hawaii men's basketball team and later became the athletic director at Hawaii Pacific University. He has also been involved in various community initiatives.
