Bob Morse
Bob Morse (born January 4, 1951) is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6'7" (2.01 m) forward, he is best known for his successful career in Italian professional basketball leagues.
Morse played college basketball at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a three-time All-Ivy League selection and an All-American. He led Penn to three consecutive Ivy League titles and NCAA Tournament appearances from 1970 to 1972. In 1971, he helped the Quakers reach the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight.
After graduating from Penn, Morse was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 1972 NBA draft, but he chose to pursue a professional career in Italy. He played for several Italian teams, including Olimpia Milano, where he achieved considerable success. He was known for his scoring ability and outside shooting.
Morse was a key player in Olimpia Milano's dominance in Italian basketball during the 1970s and 1980s. He won multiple Italian League championships and European Champions Cups with the team. He retired from professional basketball in the mid-1980s.
After his playing career, Morse remained involved in basketball, working as a coach and consultant. He is considered a legend in Italian basketball and is remembered for his contributions to the sport in Italy.
