Beaussais

Beaussais is a former commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune of Celles-sur-Belle. Beaussais was situated approximately 15 kilometers southeast of the town of Melle. The area is largely agricultural, typical of the Poitou-Charentes region. Its inhabitants were known as Beaussaisiens.
