Avi Katz

Avi Katz (born 1949) is an Israeli illustrator, caricaturist, comics artist and children's book author. He is known for his satirical and often politically charged cartoons, which have appeared in major Israeli newspapers such as Haaretz, The Jerusalem Post, and Yedioth Ahronoth.

Katz's work frequently addresses contemporary Israeli politics and social issues. His distinctive style often incorporates exaggerated features and sharp wit to convey his commentary. He has also illustrated numerous books, including children's literature, and has received several awards for his contributions to the field of illustration and cartooning. He has taught illustration and cartooning at various institutions in Israel. He is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
