Anthony Smith (Australian footballer)

Anthony Smith is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Smith was drafted by North Melbourne with pick number 59 in the 2001 AFL Draft. He made his debut for the club in 2004. A key defender, Smith was known for his strong marking ability and his composure under pressure.

He played a total of 53 games for North Melbourne between 2004 and 2008. He was delisted by the club at the end of the 2008 season. Following his AFL career, Smith continued to play football at a local level.
