Amy (comic strip)
Amy was a syndicated daily comic strip created by Jack Tippit. It ran from 1961 to 1987. The strip centered around the domestic life and comedic situations of a young, precocious girl named Amy and her family, including her parents and younger brother, Ted. The humor typically derived from Amy's observations and misunderstandings of the adult world, as well as her interactions with her family and friends. Amy was known for her large, expressive eyes and distinctive hairstyle. The strip employed a generally wholesome and family-friendly tone, reflecting the sensibilities of the era in which it was published. After Tippit's death in 1987, the comic strip was discontinued.
