Alvin Law
Alvin Law (born 1960) is a Canadian motivational speaker, disability advocate, and musician. Born without arms due to his mother's use of thalidomide during pregnancy, Law overcame significant challenges to live an independent and productive life. He is known for his humour, resilience, and positive attitude, which he uses to inspire audiences to overcome their own obstacles and embrace their potential.
Law began playing music at a young age, learning to play the trombone with his feet. He holds a degree in Social Work and has worked in the fields of disability support and advocacy. He travels extensively, delivering keynote speeches and workshops to corporations, schools, and community organizations. His presentations often focus on themes of self-acceptance, perseverance, and the importance of attitude in achieving success. Law has received numerous awards and recognition for his work, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is a vocal advocate for disability rights and inclusion.
