Óscar González (Spanish footballer)
Óscar González Marcos (born 22 March 1982), known simply as Óscar González, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.
He was known for his technique and dribbling ability, and his career was primarily spent in Spain, though he also had a brief stint in Greece.
Career
Óscar González began his career with Real Valladolid, progressing through their youth ranks. He made his first-team debut in La Liga during the 2000-01 season. He became a key player for Valladolid, featuring regularly in the top flight.
In 2007, he transferred to Real Zaragoza, another La Liga club. However, he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter there.
After a season with Zaragoza, he returned to Real Valladolid in 2008. This second spell with Valladolid proved to be more successful, and he regained his status as an important member of the squad.
In 2012, González moved to Greek side OFI Crete. He played there for a single season before returning to Spain.
Following his time in Greece, he joined Almería in 2013, and later played for Real Valladolid again, finishing his professional career with the club.
